RELEASE DATE 2017-07-17
LABEL Se-Lek Musik
Miki Mad is the next quality infused producer to grace the Se-lek Musik platter and one we have been excited by for some time.
He’s an artist and DJ that originates from Montevideo Uruguay with an impressive array of quality driven productions under his moniker. His music quite intelligently hits a cross merge of influences with presence, enticement whilst careering for the House, Techno and Tech House sub genres.
You can find other Miki Mad releases on labels such as Detroit based Motek, London based 69 Street, PP Music, Rezongar, and many other dedicated underground labels.
As a remixer he’s also been quite prevalent whilst providing mixes for artists such as Manuel de La Mare, Pleasurekraft, Oliver Moldan, Todd Terry and it’s a lists that’s increasingly growing.
This is his debut release with se-Lek and one, which takes the TECHNO centre stage with ease.
The original of Nights of White Satin is purposeful techno mover with classic Detroit esque sounds that really rolls along in modern way. Its quite mood driven in places whilst retaining groove and a darker edge that’s not overkilled.
First of the remixes is by Blue Amazon who needs little introduction to the Se-Lek Musik stable. The Blue Amazon interpretation takes the theme of the original but compounds the elements into more of a building dynamic. It’s kind of a cross breed of influences from House to Progressive and Techno in one.
The third remix is another debut artist to the Se-Lek label in Rummy Sharma.
Rummy Sharma is an established premier DJ originating from Delhi – India. He’s a DJ that’s had quite an impact on the developing scene in India as well as regularly featuring overseas in places such as Berlin and other international clubbing destinations. In recent years he’s become more established in the production world along side artist such as Namito and Tom Wax – and continues his production flourish with his remix in more experiential driving techno fashion.
